Swtor Best Romance
Spoilers below. Protect your virgin eyes. So, I'm finally playing my first run-through of KOTOR as a male character, and I'm wondering how the developers make the game work if you decide to play a female. The protagonist is supposed to the memory-wiped and reprogrammed Dark Lord Revan, right? So how does that work if the main character is a woman and Revan is a man? The Jedi threw in a sex-change operation for extra confusion? And what about the little romance side quest with Bastila - is it possible to turn Bastila to the Pink Side, seducing her into kissing your female protagonist?Did anyone here play through the game as a woman?
Aug 26, 2009 A step by step guide on how to bypass the jedi teachings and win your way into Bastila Shan's heart on Star Wars KOTOR. This was requested by a friend of min.
Quote:The protagonist is supposed to the memory-wiped and reprogrammed Dark Lord Revan, right? So how does that work if the main character is a woman and Revan is a man?I may be wrong but the only possible inference in the entire game to Revan being male is the word 'Lord' - which I myself am not even sure is a strongly gender specific moniker.quote:Did anyone here play through the game as a woman?Yes I did. But honestly I found Bastilla as annoying as that whinny bitch druidess Jahera from Baldur's Gate. I was sorely tempted by the darkside to find a way to get her killed. So the 'pink' romance thing was about as far from my mind as it could be.
Quote:Wow, so they never use the he/him/his male pronouns to refer to Revan in the entire game?I don't recall but that's a very easy problem to deal with since all are interchangeable with out having to changes other grammitical structures in the language. You just have a variable to represent the gender of the player character (Call it PlayCharGender) and based on it's value you use either male or female pronouns. Of course in the cases of voice overs you have to have to 2 separate ones (one for male specific pronouns and one for female spcecific pronouns) but which to use could be determined like I mentioned above.Of course you can also just avoid the whole problem (Which I think is what KOTOR does) by always using proper names (Revan, Bastilla, etc.) or by using titles (The Dark Lord, Dark Lord Revan, etc.) when refering to characters. You can see sadly older posts in the Bioware forums that had more details about it don't seem to be available anymore.Edit: 'sorta' in that there is no smoochy-smoochy scene ala Bastila (but then there is no kiss for the Carth romance either!
So unfair!) but it is very clear from the dialog that it is not 'just friends'.Damnit, there should have been a lesbian romance for Bastila available. Quote:Originally posted by harrytruman:The main reason for playing as a female in KOTOR is so that you can watch some prime booty in motion. Seriously, I'd rather watch a girls behind for 20+ hours than a guy's behindMy friends accuse me of having problems for wanting to play as a female. I wonder why they like looking at half naked manass for 20+ hours. And while we're at it, equip Bastilla with a dark-ride armor, like a dark jedi robe. Go back to the game. Then pause it, and remove all of bastilla's armor so she's in her underwear Too bad this doesn't work for Carth.
The ladies need some action too! As far as I can recall from Star Wars canon, even female sith masters are called Lord, and after poking around on the internet I can't find anything to disprove this.
The term 'female sith lord' is used commonly. I'd imagine this is mostly because the term 'lord' tends to denote mastery of a situation and/or area where as 'lady' might be misconstrued as a sign of being weaker - honestly, if a woman was powerful and evil enough to be a sith master ('Darth') then she could call herself what ever she wants.Much the same way where in some military lines, all officers are 'Sir' regardless of gender, and IIRC fencing participants of called 'Sir' as well, male or female. SPOILERI have to play thru it again, never got to experience a TRUE darkside storyline, the reason for that being. When I got to the point where you are supposed to kill one or the other Sith Lord, I killed them both, I figured that a truly evil person like revan wouldn't take orders from either one of them. So it still continued along a good side type path, even tho I was evil as sin. And at the end when you are told to kill the black jedi, I balked. It has nothing to do with being good or evil, the guy had my back thru the whole game and now I'm supposed to kill him because this bitch tells me to?
Thats just too back stabby for me./SPOILER. Quote:Originally from Sumthingorother:And while we're at it, equip Bastilla with a dark-ride armor, like a dark jedi robe. Go back to the game. The ladies need some action too!OK, DON'T DO THIS:I accidently did the samething for the old Jedi (Jolee or whatever his name is) one day and it was the most disgusting moment in the game for me.Other than that, the Dark Side story to me is very weak, and did not improve until the end. You constantly doing petty crimes and meaningless killings that really isn't satisfying.

If I were truly evil, I would not spend much time killing little people.
