Folder Torrent Episode Download

86

Hi there,Had this working flawlessly in Australia but have now moved back to New Zealand and on a different PC unable to get it working as it was.I'm using RSS to download episodes in a series as they become available. I have it setup to download to it's own root folder (e.g. 'Series Name') but inside that root folder each episode is downloading into it's own folder (matches the filename). I haven't set it up to do this so unsure why it is doing it. Been through all settings unable to see anywhere/anything to fix it.The only thing I can think of is when clicking on a magnet or torrent direct link now I save into a root folder and tick create new subfolder option, never used to, used to create the folder manually and save directly into there with option unticked. Is this somehow pulling across to the RSS auto-downloaded torrents?Using uTorrent 3.3.2.Thank you. I will try to help.

I am an avid RSS Downloader. Your description of the problem wasn't quite clear but I have some general ideas. (I went from v2.2.1 to the most recent stable version this year.)First, you WANT subfolders.

See these two links for what can happen without them:Second, I'm assuming you either imported your old settings, or used the WebUI to implement the feature to create folders using the torrent's Label. This feature no longer exsists in 3.4.x so we have to use WebUI to enable it. If you didn't then you need to because your labels will be pointless (no folders.) If you DON'T WANT A FOLDER WITH THE LABEL'S NAME then you can also use the WebUI to turn that option off (under the Directories preferences.)Third, the downloads have always created subfolders when there are multiple files in them.

(I only wish they would create them for single files, but that has been requested already.) So does the subfolder match the torrent's name exactly or just the series name-like a second Label? If it's the torrent's name then it's always been that way. If it's the Series name I'd love to know how you did that because I don't know of any variables we can add for Labels. In my Favorites (In RSS Downloader) I put the label (which, of course, ends up as the folder.) My Examples: TV Auto, Movies, Software.

Here's where it gets interesting:UNDOCUMENTED FEATURE: If you put label: TV AutoNew your file will be created in a SUBFOLDER of TV Auto called New. It will be a separate label in Utorrent's interface (TV AutoNew) but a subfolder in Windows Explorer. I use this to see my new arrivals at a glance and move them over to TV Auto when I don't watch them right away. You can do this for your Series as well. Is that what you did???.Also, if you put TV Auto New (a space before New) the space will be added to the subfolder's name - so it will be at the top of your list! I like this and use it.I have not been able to get utorrent to automatically add two or more labels. I tried adding a bar but no luck.I have never been able to add variables to get RSS Downloader to fill the series or season as a label automatically (ie.

Without typing the name myself) Have you? How?Last, if none of the above solved your problem a screen shot of one of your RSS Downloader Favorites would be helpful. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. No, I set up all settings again on the new PC.I have a folder structure like this:- Movies & TV Shows- Movies- Movie Name- Movie Name.mkv- Movie Name 2- Movie Name 2.avi. Etc.- TV Shows- TV Show Name- Season 1- TV Show Name S01E01.avi- TV Show Name S01E02.avi.

Etc.You get the idea. What I want to (and did) do is have an RSS feed that automatically downloaded TV show episodes, I'd just select the TV shows season folder and set it to download in there and it would download only the episode video file in there and then FileBot would run and rename. Now, it downloads to the right location, but creates it's own subfolder with the original filename and FileBot then renames the file to the correct name. So instead of having it under e.g. Movies & TV ShowsTV ShowsTV Show NameSeason 1TV Show Name S01E01.avi it is instead under e.g. Movies & TV ShowsTV ShowsTV Show NameSeason 1Long.Original.Filename.torrentTV Show Name S01E01.aviI hope that's clear enough. Are you able to assist? Is it because these RSS torrents are downloading other junk like.txt files to it's forced to create subfolders? It only used to download the single video episode file and that's it.

Now it gets 2 or 3 files with each episode. OK, so after doing some research I found this linkApparently ShowRSS/EZTV is using new sources that have folders now. (I've noticed this because some sources tag their filenames www.torrenting.com.

I HATE this and don't know how to automatically rename back to a normal name. So I'm considering using your Filebot (thanks for the idea.)Some are getting around it by using VTV instead (you can create an RSS feed for VTV group on kat.ph. But VTV doesn't release EVERYTHING.Also, it seems that you should be able to get Filebot to copy the video file, without the other files, to your desired folder and it wouldn't be in a subfolder. Maybe you've already done this?By the way, are you using symbolic links? If so how do you get around the keeplink bug in utorrent (or do you just take the extra step to delete the file in utorrent as well as your media library?) If not, how are you seeding your files? What media library are you using?

I am considering XBMC.Filebot sounds interesting to me ONLY if I can continue seeding files, and I can delete the file in my media library as well as Utorrent at the same time. Damn, that's so shitty, why would they have single tv show episodes in it's own folder with other crap, or even in it's own folder by itself. Pointless and annoying.Ok, currently I use showRSS to get my RSS links, I add these links to uTorrent and use the RSS Downloader (I think it's called?) within uTorrent to download the seasons/episodes/resolution etc. I have them downloading directly into the permanent file location where they will stay in the structure that I want. My torrents are set to stop seeding after certain amount of upload after completion. Upon the torrent status going to Completed, FileBot will auto-run a script that renames the tv show episode or movie to the correct format I've set (e.g.

Movie Name (Date) or TV Show Name S01E01). I manually go in to uTorrent and right-click each completed torrent after seeding and remove the listing and.torrent file from there (is there an automatic way to do this?). I have a wireless media player hooked up to my TV running XBMC that pulls all the tv shows and movies from my PC, I manually scrape for newly added files as if it does it automatically it may pickup partially downloaded files and then when they complete and are renamed XBMC will have two links to it and one will not work. Also have the 2 TB disk where it's all stored shared on the network so I can play on my laptop and other wireless devices.Used to work flawlessly, still does with movies, but now tv show episodes are getting their own folders within the season folder (so damn annoying!).So, from your link info. Above, does that mean I can try other RSS sources and some won't use folders for episodes? Do you know any that work this way? Thanks for your help.
